The Board of Community First International Limited (Community First) is committed to ensuring that the Company’s obligations and responsibilities to its various stakeholders are fulfilled through its corporate governance practices. The Directors and the Executive Management Team (the Executive) undertake to perform their duties with honesty, integrity, care and diligence, to act in good faith in the best interests of the Company in a manner that reflects the highest standards of corporate governance.
The Board’s primary role is to ensure that Community First’s activities are directed towards achieving its purpose and mission which is to strengthen communities through support services, empowerment and leadership. The Board ensures that this is achieved in the most efficient and effective way possible, whilst preserving and promoting Community First’s reputation.
Community First is a public company limited by guarantee, incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001 in Western Australia. Ultimate responsibility for the governance of Community First rests with its Board of Directors.
Community First’s corporate governance framework has been developed to support our service recipient focused operations, while providing clear guidance on how authority is exercised within Community First, including Board oversight of key controls.
